It’s
a Photo messaging app in which user can click pics, upload videos and record
them, plus text and drawing are also being featured in this app, and can then
sent it to your buddies.

can also limit the duration of their post to be visible to it’s recipients,
after that they would be automatically deleted from recipient’s device and also
from snapchat server’s.
What is Instagram?
An
online sharing app which allows you to share photo and video apart from sharing
it also give you social-networking service such as facebook, twitter, Tumblr

Both
apps are exclusively for Photo sharing, but the rivals are adding features and
trying to occupy as much market share as possible.

the app has similar GUI while clicking a pic. Instagram user can upload the
clicks taken from cam outside the app. Snapchat user misses this part.

screen for both the apps, press down the button till the recording is over.
Difference can be observed in time duration.
Snapchat can play videos for 10
seconds while Instagram add 5 more taking it to 15 seconds.

is present in Instagram where as absent in Snapchat from the phone’s Library.

Instagram user can access the filter part as it is only present in Instagram.

feature is only provided by snapchat.

and videos directly to other.
Instagram has limited up to 15 users while there
is “N” limit to Snapchat.
In snapchat the image disappears after user views it.

Both
apps have Inbox feature due to which bifurcation of received images is done
easily

and Sharing:
Taking
a click on snapchat can be saved to photo gallery before sending it to your
folks. Click on the download text on the corner at bottom after taking the
picture.
Where
as in Instagram photos are being taken within the app due to which they get auto
saved in the gallery of the user. User can also mail or share images by
clicking on the lower bottom icon of the post.

annoying users:
Yes
this feature is a must when user get’s annoyed with someone sharing any abusive
stuff via pictures.
Instagram has
additional feature of reporting the person to the Instagram team.
So,
both the apps are fascinating & more or less ‘awesome’ then why there is
much competition among the rivals?
The
answer is some kind of up gradation and features are what making both apps more
competitive and more users friendly in the market.
The
feature in snapchat where in user can pick list of friends and share them
pictures. Due to this you can target particular picture to share as per the
targeted audiences.
Like share pics occasionally having any marriage function
share pic to relatives, so this function helps user to easily share picture as
per the occasion and its targeted audience’s.
This is a feature which Instagram
is missing and due to which losing its usage in the market share. Snapchat has
focused on the part of Private Sharing rather than sharing the public feature.
Instagram
has announced a feature Direct on Thursday in which photo sharing is now
private, Instagram has added this feature in order to maintain it’s consistency
in market as this feature was absent in
Instagram where as available in Snapchat
So, both the Apps are available on IOS and android, a
new OS WINDOWS is not missed by the Instagram.
VERDICT:
Both
apps are for sharing photos and videos with your friends. Almost both the apps
have now almost similar features.
