InMobi comes with interactive Video Ad Platform

In the previous year, 2013, InMobi had launched a white label app store for the publishers to boost mobile ads. The company’s CEO Mr. Naveen Tiwari had stated that over the next few months, nearly 30-40% of the company’s existing advertisers will shift to the new video platform. At least 25% of the revenue earned recently could move to video. It also unlocks new set of advertisers, who were earlier heading towards television.

The InMobi founded in 2007 has evolved at major length and will go beyond serving traditional videos that are more suited for watching television and increases customer engagement levels by 5 times, resulting in more revenue for the partners. InMobi is the world’s largest independent mobile ad network which engages 691 million consumers across 165 countries. It is expected to reach $1 billion revenue milestone in about two years.

InMobi has improved a lot on mobile technology. The ads are far more interactive and can create real-time transactions. This is made possible by 4 video formats being launched with the new platform — Interactive canvas, Video continuum, Video smart ads and Form capture.

Basically, these formats will serve personalized ads that are location specific and contextualized. The new format will also enable real-time e-commerce by allowing users to click on the products displayed in an ad and buy products immediately.

Everyone from Google to Facebook are following this trend, and it is becoming quite interesting to track how each one of them is innovating in a year when traditional banner ads are supposed to be dead.
