The service launched in time for Facebook’s
10th birthday earlier this week gives users a sentimental Look Back at their
Facebook history. But many of those who shared their movies on their Facebook
walls have complained about the photos and posts that were automatically
selected for them. Some had sad photos that they would rather not remember as a
milestone. Some did not like as it was not much personalized. So, Facebook
finally found a solution to the complaints of its users by providing an Edit
button.
Facebook graciously added an edit button to
the video page, so if your highlight video is giving you so much anxiety that
you cannot bear to share it with your friends, you can fix it. You can easily
click on the Edit button just above the clip on the right which is next to the
green Share Your Movie tab. The new tool lets you edit everything in the video:
the three first moments from when you first joined the Facebook, the
presentation of most-liked statuses, the selection of your uploaded photos and
the images that make up the grid at the beginning and at the end of your reel.
Enter the "EDIT" button, now
appearing on some user's "Look Back" page. By clicking on the button
it directs you to an EDIT page however, the page does not work yet. But
Facebook’s Help Center says you will soon be able to use checkmarks on your
photos and stories to adjust whether they appear in your movie. Once edits are
complete you will be brought back to your Look Back page where an UPDATE button
will appear. By clicking the update button it now brings up the share function.
The Look Back videos are a limited-time
offer—they will disappear in about a month unless you share them on your
Timeline, so get to editing. So, if amid that emotional soundtrack, a photo of
your ex or that good friend you fell-out with showed-up and left you in floods
of tears, you can now erase them for some happier social media memories.
