After the Android 4.2.2 test build for the
Galaxy S4 got leaked, Galaxy Note 3 users felt bad and disappointed. But now
there is some good news for these heartbroken members, a brand new Android
4.4.2 test firmware – N9005XXUENA6 - for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005)
is developed.
This is one of the final test build of
Android 4.4.2 KitKat for the Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005) that means nothing will
be included or excluded in future builds of Android 4.4 for the giant phablets,
except a few bug fixes and improvements.
We expect Samsung to officially start
rolling out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the Galaxy Note 3 in 1 or 2
weeks, as the update will begin in phases so it will naturally take months till
it reaches all countries and carriers.
Many of the new features found in the Galaxy
Note 3′s Android 4.4.2 update were present in the Galaxy S 4′s recently-leaked
build of KitKat, which includes white status bar icons and a lock screen camera
shortcut. Also bundled into the Note 3′s update is a full screen album art
during the music playback as well as improved performance that results in
benchmark scores. Even the process of unlocking the Note 3 is said to have been
improved with this latest update.
You can install the test update for yourself
by following these instructions:
First of all backup your data; the test
firmware will wipe your data.
This test firmware will neither increase your
binary counter nor void your warranty.
This test firmware is a pre-release build and
is not official from Samsung.
