Apple believes that technology has the power to transform the classroom. It can pave many ways of thinking and new ways of sparking ideas. Still the foundation never changes.

Apple’s Worldwide Access to Educational Content

Apple says iBooks Textbooks and iTunes U Course Manager are expanding into new markets across Asia, Latin America, and Europe and across the world. iBooks Textbooks bring Multi-Touch textbooks with dynamic, current and simply interactive content to teachers and students in 51 countries now including Italy, Brazil and Japan. iTunes U Course Manager is available in 70 countries now including Russia, Thailand and Malaysia which allow educators to create and distribute courses for their own classrooms or to share them publicly on the iTunes U app.

iBooks Textbooks offer iPad users full screen textbooks with animations, rotating 3D diagrams, flick-through photo galleries and tap-to-play videos. iBooks Textbooks do not weigh down a backpack and can be updated as events unfold and don’t need to be returned. With about 25,000 educational titles created by independent publishers, teachers and other leading education companies, including new content from Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, iBooks Textbooks now cover 100 percent of US high school core curriculum and the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) core curriculum in the UK.

With iTunes U Course Manager Educators can quickly and easily share their knowledge and resources directly with their class or to a global audience on iTunes U. This free iOS application gives millions of learners access  the world the largest online catalog of free educational content from top schools, leading universities and various prominent institutions. iTunes U Course manager also impart teachers the ability to integrate their own documents as part of course curriculum as well as content from the Internet, iBooks Store and over 750,000 materials from existing iTunes U collections or any of the millions of iOS apps available on the revolutionary App Store.

When it comes to finding content for your lessons, iPad has something for you to teach. And for everything that your students want to learn. There several apps, interactive textbooks, videos, audios and podcasts that cover every subject and every grade level. The App Store, iBooks, and iTunes U make it simple to navigate and find what you need and new resources are added every day.

There is a reason why iPad has become a favorite of students and teachers. You can easily customize the learning experience for each and every student with apps and books geared to any level. You can teach them with your own interactive materials created with iBooks Author and can organize and deliver all your lessons with iTunes U, so that your students have access to their learning materials on iPad wherever they go.

This is Apple’s noble step towards educating students worldwide and to provide them with educational content with a single touch.
