Google would follow you and make a track of your foot prints. While the initial set up of any Google filled gear there is prompt that Google could transmit your data back to mothership. Google being genius figures out where are you and about the info of traffic.
Managing location access, reporting of location and history.
Android 4.1 to 4.3, can access to Google location. With the help of Location history website you can view the location history of your mobile on a computer. If you turn off your location report and history setting then you may not get the info.
Access Location
Note: This feature is only on devices of Android version 4.3 or lower.
User can control how Google apps would use your location with one easy setting
- Open the Google settings from device app’s menu
- Click on the box near to Access location. When the checkmark would disappear setting would turn off
When you want apps to track your foot prints you can reverse the setting to turn ON
Reporting of Location:
- Open Google Settings
For user using Android 4.3 or lower, click on Location Location services Google location reporting Location Reporting
- Slide to Switch ON or OFF
Location History:
Too turn on and off follow below steps
- Visit location history browser
- Sign in with your Google account
- Click the gear icon, then select history settings
- Choose option either enable or disable, then Save it
