first launched in 2010 and till date it’s the same “thumbs up” sign but now
Facebook is going to have its makeover done.
Facebook developers say that he new Like button sport a brighter shade of
blue with white ‘Like’ text in a new font and a Facebook F logo with the word
“like” – f like. Facebook is also working to pair up Like and Share buttons in
a single embed so that if you like a particular post it will automatically be
shared also.
If
you are currently using the old like button you will be automatically upgraded
to the new restyled like button. According to Facebook the Like and Share
buttons are viewed over 22 billion times daily across more than 7.5 million
websites. This data shows how popular are the Like and Share buttons of Facebook.
The Like button lets people to post links to Facebook with one click, while
Share allows them to add a personalized message and customize their target
audience before posting.
The
redesign of Like button will not affect the button dimensions and the Share
setting will replace the Send setting (the Send setting will remain for the
backward compatibility only).
The
Facebook Share button which is redesigned will easily allow your blog to be
shared. The button also provides the current count of how many times your story
has been shared throughout Facebook.
Functionality:
- New – Facebook share button which shows the no of times your post has been shared on Facebook. Integrates the ability to share your post with one click.
- Position it Before, After, Before/After on post or page.
