Xbox One Media Remote Control

Microsoft’s Xbox One the video game console, a successor to Xbox 360 will come out with its own Media Remote scheduled for its launch on 4th March this year. A pre-order page for an Xbox One Media remote briefly appeared on Amazon's Canadian website today, revealing its image, a price and little else.

The new entry in Microsoft is reportedly priced $24.99. This traditional clicker which was missing in Microsoft’s Xbox 360 might be available for Xbox one. The Xbox-branded clicker is light on buttons and seems quite outfitted only with the bare minimum needed to navigate the console's menus, switch applications and pause, play or rewind media.

Xbox one’s media interconnectivity included its ability to snap applications (such as music, video, Skype, and Internet Explorer) to the side of the screen as a form of multitasking. Xbox One can also easily serve as a pass-through for an existing television set-top box over HDMI. This functionality or feature allows users to watch live TV from their existing provider through the console and access features such as show recommendations, an electronic program guide (which is branded as OneGuide) and some voice commands. The set-top box is controlled by console by either using an IR blaster in the Kinect sensor, or the HDMI-CEC protocol. On launch, OneGuide is only compatible with television providers in the United States.

So, to control Microsoft’s home entertainment system Xbox One media remote will hopefully help in enhancing the gaming experience and will rise to the expectations of its gamers.
