Ever since the announcement of Samsung's 'Unpacked 5' event in early
February, the buzz around the Galaxy S5 has reached a new height on the
internet, with numerous reports surrounding the smart phone's features
confusing fans on what to expect from the upcoming device.
To get a better perspective on the Galaxy S5's
specifications, I have leafed through numerous reports and have pieced together
a list of probable features, which are likely to come in the Samsung phone.
Smart Features:
Fingerprint
Sensor
According to
recent reports, Samsung is including a
fingerprint sensor in the home button of the smart phone and not in the display
as was suggested by many recently. The users will need to swipe their finger on
the button to register the print. This proves that Samsung is still using
physical and capacitive buttons in its flagship. The sensor will be different
from the touch fingerprint scanner that Apple has included in iPhone 5, as it
will detect swipes across it.
The
development of its own sensor allows the company to have more control over
production, which ensures that it will have enough components to meet demand
for the device (Galaxy S5 is expected to sell millions of units, same as its
predecessors).
Samsung
has integrated the fingerprint sensor throughout Galaxy S5 software; so in
addition to unlocking their phone, the users will also be able to open apps (by assigning app shortcuts
to fingerprints) or do some other task. The phone will
support a total of 8 fingerprints. Samsung is also introducing something called
Private Folder and Private Mode, where users will be able to hide their apps,
widgets and other content, which will only be accessible after swiping the
registered fingerprint.

To open and close your Personal Folder and Private
Mode, you will then need to swipe your registered finger over the home key
after tapping on the home key, or you can simply use a different security
method, like the pattern unlock or security PIN. It will enable you to verify
your Samsung account using your fingerprint and will also enable you to sign
into different websites, without requiring you to enter your username or
password ever again.
Camera
It was rumored
that the fifth generation Galaxy S device would
boast a top-of-the-line 16.0-megapixel main camera. It was expected to feature
with ISOCELL technology with OIS (Optical image stabilization), loss-less zoom
facility and 4K resolution video taking capability.
But putting all rumors to
rest, Samsung has confirmed that its next Galaxy flagship will feature a new
"reflector-integrated flash LED" that will lend it some specific results.
The new Galaxy S5 LED flash will provide the phone's camera with a wider field
of view, even in small spaces and through better daylight and nighttime photos
as Samsung has claimed.

Samsung
reportedly features its own optics and diffusion features. The new LED flash
will come to devices starting in March, after Samsung unveils the Galaxy S5 to the masses at MWC 2014.
Price
Details
Samsung
is planning to lower its Galaxy S5 price as compared to previous galaxies.
Sources have claimed that the upcoming Galaxy S5's premium variant (metal)
would cost €800, whereas the plastic model would hold a price-tag of around
€650. Now, let’s see that what final price is of Samsung galaxy S5.
So, these were some of the features which are eye-catching in the
much awaited Galaxy S5.
