Gmail Now allows You Save Attachments Directly to Google Drive


With the swift life of us, time is being vital while dealing with any communication. Important documents are shared over mails with attachments and it’s a monotonous part to download and view those attachments. Mostly out of 10 only 5 or 6 may be useful but you need to download all as you are unable to view which attachments contains what information.

To overcome this mind-numbing part Google has help us by providing feature in which user can view and save attachments that are necessary for the use. The new feature of Google is twin in nature

  • An attachment are now noticeable as previews at base of the message(mail) giving user a quick look over the important attachments and thus saves time. Clicking on preview it would redirect you to new browser for viewing the message

  • Save attachment directly to Google drive. Clicking on the Google drive icon and instruct the attachments to be moved to specific folders such as office work, grocery etc. This would be helpful when user is in hustle, just preview the attachments, save it into drive and view later.

This feature was available to Gmail user on IOS and Android, now it’s a privileged for the desktop user to use this feature.

Google has taken one more step in order to save time and make the experience smooth. Next week would be exciting as this feature would be breathing among the users.
